Are you planning to build or buy?

The tax credit for notarial deeds (‘Bëllegen Akt’) for your own home has been increased from €30,000 per individual to €40,000, or €80,000 per couple.

Are you looking to invest in rental property?

  • A new tax credit (‘Bëllegen Akt’) for sales being completed (VEFA), is set at €20,000 per individual or €40,000 per couple.
  • An accelerated rate of depreciation for housing built for rental purposes and completed in 2024, is fixed to 6% for a period of 6 years.

Are you looking to sell a property?

- You will pay less tax on your property gains, as the rate of tax on capital gains realised on a sale completed in 2024 will be reduced to a quarter of the overall rate.
