An attractive 10 or 15 year reviewable fixed rate

Since 1856, BIL has played an active role in developing and supporting the Luxembourgish economy. This temporary offer is reserved for the acquisition of a new principal residence or for “buy-to-let” investments in Luxembourg. For you, this means:

  • stability in your monthly payments over the 10 or 15 upcoming years, as well as
  • • the flexibility to refinance at the interest rates applicable at a later stage.

The granting of a loan is subject to the bank’s approval of your application. A loan binds you and must be repaid. Remember that it costs money to borrow money.

The tax credit for notarial deeds (‘Bëllegen Akt’) for your own home has been increased from €30,000 per individual to €40,000, or €80,000 per couple.

  • A new tax credit (‘Bëllegen Akt’) for sales being completed (VEFA), is set at €20,000 per individual or €40,000 per couple.
  • An accelerated rate of depreciation for housing built for rental purposes and completed in 2024, is fixed to 6% for a period of 6 years.

Total amount owed by the borrower: EUR 766.068,00 (excluding insurance and any administration fees). Please note that this APR is calculated on the basis of an interest rate remaining at the level set for the initial period throughout the term of the contract.
