Be vigilant, fraudsters are trying to pass themselves off as BIL by sending you an e-mail inviting you to update BILnet. Do not share any personal information and do not click on the link contained in the e-mail. BIL will NEVER ask you by text message, e-mail or telephone for your LuxTrust login and password (used in BILnet), or for your bank card number or secret code.

How does my contactless card work?

To use your card’s contactless function, please follow the steps below:

1. Once the shop assistant has entered the transaction amount, hold your card over the contactless symbol on the payment terminal.
2. A light and a beep indicate that the payment has been successful. For security reasons, you may be prompted by the payment terminal to enter your PIN to validate the transaction.
3. The retailer’s payment terminal will issue a receipt for them to retain.

How to activate contactless payments
The contactless function will be activated automatically once you have done one of the following: either made a standard payment using your PIN at a shop, or used an ATM to change your PIN or withdraw cash (withdrawal fees apply for credit cards).
