About the transaction
BIL Corporate Finance Acts as Coordinator & Mandated Lead Arranger to participate in financing the Acquisition of Lemanik Asset Management
While the acquisition of Lemanik was mainly financed by equity from its new shareholder, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) Corporate Finance successfully arranged a debt financing after being mandated as lead arranger, coordinator, agent and acted as co-arranger & lender with Banque et Caisse d'Épargne de l'État (BCEE) to complete the financing.
Lemanik AM manages over €30bn in assets and provides services to small and mid-sized asset managers from 25 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and Middle East. With a proven track-record as investor in asset servicing and third-party management companies, BlackFin will support Lemanik AM in developing its value proposition for small and mid-sized asset managers as an independent provider. Lemanik AM will also consider acquisitions of other management companies and specialized divisions of asset managers and banks to create a market leader.
Sophie Catala & Aloysius von Mitschke-Collande of BlackFin stated: “We are delighted to have the support of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) and Banque et Caisse d'Épargne de l'État (BCEE), two leading banks in Luxembourg, for our acquisition of Lemanik AM. Frédéric Cassani & Haofeng Lu, of BIL Corporate Finance added: "We are very proud to support a leading European private equity firm in its acquisition of a significant local ManCo & asset servicing company in Luxembourg.
