A Single European Payments Area (SEPA) direct debit allows you to pay bills, which may have no set date or amount, automatically at repeat intervals. Water, electricity, and phone bills are a few examples of things that can be paid by SEPA direct debit.
A SEPA direct debit also lets you pay a single invoice, such as a hotel stay or one-off purchase of goods.
The beneficiary must be located in one of the European Union member states or Great Britain, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland or Monaco.
Both one-off payments and standing orders are covered.
