To set up a rental guarantee, you must make an appointment at a BIL branch. Alternatively, you can send a copy of your ID and your rental agreement using the BILnet secure messaging system. They will be transferred on to your Relationship Manager and should then be signed via secure messaging.
If you are not yet a client, you can open an account online in a few clicks.
Please bring the following documents with you to the appointment: - A copy of the lease contract (required for the guarantee to be set up) - Your ID
Remember that for a rental guarantee, the amount of the guarantee is blocked on the tenant’s account and is remunerated at the current rate. It will most likely be blocked for the duration of the lease.
You can either use your own funds for this purpose, or BIL can offer you a first-time installation loan to cover this amount, as we know that it is often difficult to cover the costs of moving into a property and the costs of getting set up. Talk about your options with your Relationship Manager who can guide you through the process.
