If money has been paid in with a view to repay your loan, but done so outside the contractual repayment schedule, it will only be used for the next periodic repayment. On the loan details screen, the funds in question will be shown under “Balance allocated to future repayments”.

At the next periodic repayment, the contractual amount due will be recorded by first drawing on this balance allocated to future repayments and then debiting your repayment account for the amount outstanding.
